MJ loves his Grampa Pat :)

MJ loves sitting on Grampa Pat's lap and reading the paper on Sunday mornings. He laughs, rips the paper, and makes a big ol' mess.
He also loves sucking on his bottom lip like an old toothless man. I think its cute but he sure does look silly in some of his pics.
MJ is now 7mo with NO TEETH. I guess he's gonna be a late teether like his mama. AH WELL!

What a wonderful SUNNY day we had today!

Wow, almost felt like we were in Florida again...ok ok ok, not that nice, but still.
The sun was shining, it was in the 50's, it was GLORIOUS!!!
MJ and I decided to take a nice long walk on the bike path along the creek with Lindsey, Landon, and Carter. What a great time. It was too muddy to put the babies in the baby swings but Landon got a few pulls off the ol' tube slide. It was great. Starting to feel like my old self when the weather is great and its actually possible to get things accomplished.

Things I have been loving lately (or always):

-MJ's baby talk
-Justin beiber ( I know, shut up)
-hobby lobby and crafting
-aveda hair products
-DVr (how did I ever live without this?)

-my Bobbi brown lip gloss (thanks Marcmal)
-hardees
-watching the bachelor with a glass of red wine and my phone (to txt my gf all of our bitchy commentary)
-trying to update our 1970's nightmare of a house
-headbands (much more practical then blow drying)
-making lists :)

Things I have been hating lately( or always)
-The View (more specifically Elizabeth hasselBeck)
-wedding planning (stressful!)
-Snow!
-Aaron Rodgers
-bundling the baby up to venture outside
-people who don't help u by holding the door open when u have ur hands full and ur pushing a stroller
-Cloth diapering (ok I don't hate it but it's like I get it ur going green but am I the only one that couldn't fathom the mess???)

Its getting harder and harder to get good pics of MJ since he is climbing around like a little monkey lately.
Here are a few:

SAD brought on by the snowstorm of 11'

I am pretty sure I am dealing with seasonal affect disorder after being cooped up in the house for 7, yes, count them, 7 DAYS!
The 6 foot snow drifts, slippery pavement, and unplowed alley made it near impossible to venture out of the house last week. It was GRAY all week!!!
I hate to complain bc I know I chose to move back to the midwest but damn!!!
I am pretty sure I had a slight case of the "baby blues" after MJ was born but this is worse bc I cant go outside for a long walk and feel refreshed! ahhhh!
ok, enough complaining.
I finally got out of the house this weekend with Matt and the baby and it was glorious!!!
Thank goodness MJ makes me laugh on a daily basis or I would really be going stir crazy.

6 mo checkup

MJ had his 6 mo chkup and shots last week.
He weighs a whopping 20lbs 9oz (90th percentile)
He is 27 inches long (75th percentile)
and his headsize is in the 91st percentile...poor babes has a big noggen. haha!
MJ's new favorite mode of transportation is scooting while in the sitting position on his butt. Its hilarious.
He also is a big crawler now....oh yeah but he can only go backwards. This is very frustrating to him so he usually gives up after realizing he is getting further away from where he wants to go.
I am really afraid of jinxing myself but MJ is a much better sleeper lately, he is sleeping through the night more often then not...but not EVERY night. boo

I finally let someone that wasnt family watch the baby...even if its just for 45min increments a few times a week. I finally joined a gym here in the QC. I love it bc of the daycare so I dont have to wait for Matt to get home to get my fitness on.
