MJ's first bath (7/27)
We had to wait until MJ's lil umbilical cord fell off before giving him an official "first bath." Until then, the lil stinker was only allowed sponge baths. He did well with his first tub experience and hardly cried...well he didnt cry until it was time to take him out and dry him off. Aww poor baby! Oh and he started sucking his thumb when he was done with his bath....how cute!
My fams visit!
My sis and my mom came to help out after Matt had to go back to work. Thank goodness!

MJ's first physical!
MJ did great today at his doctors appointment! Only minimal crying when his blood was taken and a little fussiness when the doc was poking at him.
His weight is currently 8lb 14 oz. The dr said by next tuesday he should be back to his birth weight by 2 weeks so we are on track. I believe it bc he eats like a champ.
His weight is in the 65th percentile, his head is in the 90th percentile, and his height is in the 90th percentile.
He's a big one!

Happy 1 week Birthday to my baby boy, MJ!!!
We love you!!!
Things we have learned in MJ's first week:
*Pooping 8 times in one day is completely normal
* 3 outfit changes a day is typical
* MJ likes to party at night and sleep during the day
* Contrary to Touchpoints by T. Berry Braselton M.D, Breastfed babies' poops DO stink!
*Although we are far away, we have such great families that are all anxious to meet the lil man
*Matt and I are lucky to have made such good friends in Fort Myers that have visited, called/text'd, and sent well wishes.
*"Sleep when the baby sleeps" is easier said then done when all you want to do is stare at him
* I have been reunited with coffee, sushi, hot dogs, and lunch meat during this week and its wonderful!
* Our anti-social dog is probably the most obsessed since we have brought the baby home, she just wants to sit and stare at MJ all day long too!

July 6th it is!!! (or probably is...)
My son will most likely be born on July 6th by c-section! Yay!!!
I cant wait to meet our baby boy!
Some fun July 6th facts:
He will share a birthday with: the Dalai Lama, Sly Stallone, Merv Griffin, George W Bush, and 50 cent!!! wooo hooo....Its your birthday, gonna party like its your birthday!
He will be a Cancer, a crab. Cancers are intelligent, organized, generous, home-loving, and tenacious.
We are sooo excited. We can hardly wait!!! Matt is taking me out for our last "pre-parent" dinner date tonight.
I cant wait to meet our baby boy!
